In a small town in ancient Persia, Dot and Maureen are the proprietors of the most popular tea shop in all the land. The Annual Persian Tea Competition is imminent and Dot and Maureen are confident of yet another win..

However... Lapsang Souchong, leader of the evil Four Tea Thieves has other ideas.

Follow the adventures of Dot, Maureen, Ali Baba and the Four Tea Thieves as the tale of daring, bravery, robbery, enchanted caves and a jolly nice cuppa unfolds...

tuesday stuff

The culture conspiracy likes to explore all sorts of possibilites on Tuesday nights. Anything from life drawing to game shows. Plus there are two regular monthly nights:

first tuesday: the star quiz

A typically Star take on the pub quiz theme. We're not like the other boys and girls.

third tuesday: live

Two or three invited live acts. These are often people who have played at Open Mic and have tickled the fancy of the landlord, staff and regular punters.

wednesday: vinyl night

Bring along your classic albums, favourite singles from a misspent youth or search out some of the new sounds available on this ever popular format. Learn more...

friday: cocktails

Cocktail queen Claudia Ruby Dominique Webb the First creates two specially crafted cocktails every Friday night from 7pm. Old favorites and new, exciting concoctions are the order of the day for the fab-value price of only £5.50. The landlord loves 'em (too much!)

thursday: open mic

Every Thursday throughout the year from 8:30, these informal nights are an eclectic mix of music of all styles. Phone us on 01306 889734 during the day on the Thursday you'd like to play and book a 15 minute slot. Please turn up at least half an hour before your slot and makes sure guitars etc are all lovely and tuned! Learn more...

Once a month we have an evening devoted to one act. If you love live music in a close-up and intimate setting then these gigs are for you. Acts: There's a fantastic PA available, lighting and a compact stage.
